Immigration Rules on Public Funds
Once you have been granted a UK Visa you will be under immigration control. One thing immigration WILL NOT allow you is to claim Public Funds. Your partner/sponsor will also not be allowed to claim public funds for you.
Do you want to know what are public funds?
If so you have come to the right page.

PUBLIC FUNDS ARE AS FOLLOWS :-
- income-based jobseeker’s allowance;
- income support;
- child tax credit;
- working tax credit;
- a social fund payment;
- child benefit;
- housing benefit;
- council tax benefit;
- state pension credit;
- attendance allowance;
- severe disablement allowance;
- carer’s allowance;
- disability living allowance;
- an allocation of local authority housing; and
- local authority homelessness assistance.
If you or your sponsor attempt to claim these benefits for someone under immigration control it could result in the visa being revoked and the individual being deported.
The Border and Immigration department are very strict, but if you stick to the rules there will be nothing to worry about.
